New York Gridlock is excited to officially launch our
2021 Ramp-Up
What is the Ramp-up?
The NYGL Ramp-Up is an 8-week program to engage the athlete in each of us and to bring together the NYGL community we missed so much in 2020. Designed by match fit performance in conjunction with our NYGL sports psychologist, Dr. Annie Chanler, the Ramp-Up program will consist of weekly strength & conditioning workouts, as well as additional workshops targeting both our physical and mental health. The Ramp-Up will help you reconnect to your inner athlete as we prepare ourselves for a healthy and mindful return to play. All events will be held remotely until it is safer for us to gather in person. At this time, we have no plans to hold in person events.
Our hope is that the PUL will have a 2021 season, and although that decision or timeline has not been finalized, Gridlock is eager to reconnect with our community while simultaneously preparing for the potential of a 2021 season.
What do you need to know?
Our 8-week program will begin the week of March 15th!
Strength & Conditioning workouts will run every Monday via Zoom.
Wellness workshops will be held virtually every Thursday evening.
The cost of participation is $299 but we have many options to make this program accessible to all. We do not want finances to be a participation barrier, so please reach out if you have any questions.
To sweeten the deal, we will offer all Ramp-Up participants a discount at the next NYGL tryouts (whenever that may be)!
Registration opens Monday, March 1st, and will close Friday, March 12th. Register for the Ramp-Up here!
Who is the Ramp-Up for?
We welcome all womxn* and non-binary people to join our Ramp-Up. The invitation is open to previous NYGL players, interested future tryouts, or anyone that wants to join our community.
*Note: We use the term womxn to be inclusive of all women, cis and trans. We welcome non-binary people as well as transgender and cisgender women to be players and volunteers on our team.
