Huge thanks to our partners and co-owners, Baker Street Health, for their incredible support this season! This league-first collaboration is setting a new standard in athlete care—providing our team with behavioral health, sport & performance psychology, and podiatry services.
With Baker Street Health by our side, we were also able to launch our first-ever jersey auction this past May in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, with proceeds supporting mental health awareness. Together, we’re proud to champion player well-being both on and off the field.

Jen has been playing Ultimate since 2003 and working in the field of photography since 2004. The two finally came together in 2014 when she became the Team Photographer for the New York Empire. We welcomed her into the NYGL family in 2022, and are so happy to have her talent as part of our media team.

Built for badassery.
Backed by science.Men’s and women’s feet are fundamentally different — yet the industry standard for women’s boots is still "shrink it and pink it." Playing through black toes, blisters and body aches, all because your boots were made for boys? We say that’s not good enough.

Uptown Soccer uses the power of soccer to develop healthy and engaged young people in Northern Manhattan and the Bronx
Our goal is to challenge the conventional Pay-to-Play model of US soccer by recognizing sports as a fundamental right of children, rather than a privilege that benefits only the wealthy
Accessibility is at the heart of what we do. We locate our programs in convenient neighborhood spaces, allow players and families to create flexible attendance schedules, design curriculums and sessions that accommodate a range of playing abilities, and of course keep our programs free, or as low cost as possible. Our coaches are licensed soccer instructors and also trained specifically in working with lower income and immigrant families allowing us to always create a safe and welcoming environment for all aspiring players.
