Brittany Taylor (BT)

Coach for New York Gridlock

I began playing Ultimate at LC Bird High School in Chesterfield, VA. Times were tough before many schools had girls teams, but it cemented my love for the sport, and especially the mixed game that I would participate in for many years to come. I played, captained, and later coached for Hydra at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. One fun achievement was earning 2nd runner up Coach of the Year as Hydra placed 5th at D-I College Nationals in 2021. I’ve also played, commissioned, and served on organizing boards for countless local leagues in central VA, played and coached for Color of Ultimate, and coached Bern FABulous at Club Worlds in 2022.

I entered the PUL as a player for DC Shadow in 2021. Driven by many of the same goals and objectives of the league, I’m looking forward to coaching in New York with Gridlock. At home in Richmond, VA I enjoy hitting the gym, decorating, and watching as much college basketball as possible.

Dmitry Suvorov

Scouting & Film Review Coach

I’m excited to join the Gridlock for the 2024 season! I started playing ultimate in 2012 and have competed in both men’s and mixed ultimate at the college, club and pro level. I was a coach for the Rutgers men’s team in 2018-2019 and helped them to their first college nationals since 2014. Coaching at the pro level is going to be a challenge but I am looking forward to working with the team and contributing to this incredible ultimate community.
